Greetings from McVay Physical Therapy. First off, we hope you are well. Second, if you are in desperate need of help for physical therapy related issues, please contact us. Your health and safety have been and continue to be our #1 priority. We have been screening all patients with forehead thermometers since the first case was diagnosed in RI and all patients were required to have hand sanitization. We shut our doors for the first time since inception to protect everyone for two weeks.
We are writing to you with exciting news that will directly impact the way we can treat you and offer you care. We now have an online telehealth platform called doxy.me. This telehealth tool will allow you to access your provider and receive care in the event your aren’t able to access the clinic. We can use this telehealth tool in multiple ways to serve you. We can use it as a screening tool, for follow up appointments, wellness check-ins, exercise progression, and even for initial evaluations and treatments. We believe this will bring significant value to you as an option to enhance your experience at McVay Physical Therapy.
You will still receive the same impeccable quality of care but it will be from the comfort and convenience of your own home or office. All that is needed on your part is to set up an appointment over the phone. Then go to (click here) https://doxy.me/drmcvay. There are no extra fees to use this platform and you don’t have to download anything. You can use it on Mac, PC, and every type of tablet and smartphone. We want to assure you it is fully HIPAA-compliant, like all electronic medical records in hospitals, which means your health information, personal information and data is completely secure.
Please discuss insurance coverage when setting up the appointment. The game is changing every day for us. In addition to telehealth appointments, we are offering in-office emergency appointments (for those after surgery, with severe vertigo, etc.) as of 4-1-20 (no joke).
We, at McVay PT, are happy to try to continue to help you and deal with this challenging time. This kind of care may be for you. If you are interested, please contact us for an appointment. I look forward to partnering with you in your healing and recovery. Be well.
In health and gratitude,
Jeremy McVay, DPT, MPT, BS, CSCS
