When I first came here, I couldn’t even walk. I got my artifical leg and I was up and running within a week. The therapy is great, I don’t think you could ask for better people, and I can walk on my own two legs again.

I had therapy on my neck and I’m no longer dizzy, no ringing in my ears, I can even drive again! I feel like a new person and I recommend McVay Physical Therapy to anyone who needs help.

Cervicogenic Dizziness Testimonial

Dear Jeremy, I have been wanting to thank you for all the help with the dizziness and off balance issues I have been dealing with since 2000…but have been holding off because I didn’t want to jinx it. I have been, on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being terrible and 10 obviously being wonderful…feeling in the range of 7 to 9, most of the time. I still do have some days that are not as good, but not as bad as they had been. I can usually work through it with exercises you’ve given me, and the realization that anxiety and stress is a factor in making it worse, helps me to try calming myself a bit. I have many days that I feel much more normal than I have in years. This is quite a feat considering the fact that I have seen every neurologist, otolaryngologist, ENT, and many other doctors in the Rhode Island area, Boston area, including Mass Eye & Ear, Lahey Clinic, Mass. General, and another in Florida, all of whom just fluffed my problem off as a female with anxiety issues. I was so sick and dizzy and we were made to wait 5 hours, and when a doctor finally came in to see me, he said I was not an emergency and should be seeing my primary care for anxiety medication. It was a Saturday... read more

Since 1999, Americans have increasingly been prescribed opioids—painkillers like Vicodin, OxyContin, Opana, and methodone, and combination drugs like Percocet. In some situations, dosed appropriately, prescription opioids are an appropriate part of medical treatment. However, opioid risks include depression, overdose, and addiction, plus withdrawal symptoms when stopping use. And people addicted to prescription opioids are 40 times more likely to become addicted to heroin. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is urging health care providers to reduce the use of opioids in favor of safe alternatives like physical therapy. Don’t just mask the pain. Treat it.  McVay PT is ready to help!... read more
